The Mr. Coffee 8-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker is an efficient, affordable machine with an 8-cup capacity.  This unit is styled in black and comes with a brushed stainless-steel thermal carafe.

It is surprisingly compact for a full-size unit, measuring approximately 8 inches wide by 10.5 inches deep by 12 inches tall. A flip-up lid provides access to both the water reservoir and filter basket.

There are several features that customers liked about Mr. Coffee 8-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker, starting with the dual exterior water windows, which show at a glance from either side, exactly how much water is in the tank. The smooth control panel has pushbutton controls which are quite sensitive – brew-pause function, handy on/off switch that lights up and an automatic shut-off function.  It also has a removable filter insert that provides easy filling and cleaning.

If you are in a hurry for the first cup, the brew-pause feature lets you remove the carafe for up to 30 seconds during brewing to sneak a cup.  Or, you can use the programmable clock/timer to preset a brew time so the coffee is ready when you want it.

The double-walled thermal carafe has a plastic stay-cool handle, with a convenient thumb-notch indentation at the top. The brew-through lid keeps heat and steam locked inside so the coffee stays warm for several hours.  Although the temperature drops after brewing because this coffeemaker shuts off automatically.

This coffee machine has the same problem just like the other brands and models.  Customers are saying that coffee comes out not hot enough.  They had to microwave it afterwards.  And yes, this doesn’t make 8 cups either.

Another thing that customers didn’t like was the lid design.  Carafe lid must be loosened for you to be able to pour coffee.  It’s also difficult to pour the coffee because of the carafe spout.  Somehow the grounds gets into the spout and clogs it thus, you will be drinking your coffee with grounds in it.
